Vilasrao-Rane Meeting: Will It Serve the Purpose for Congress?

In view of the Maharashtra assembly election, scheduled to be held in next few months, Congress high command last week asked two of its top leaders in the state and wannabe CMs, Vilasrao Deshmukh and Narayan Rane, to bury differences between them.

Accordingly, Deshmukh and Rane held parleys in Delhi. Now, it will be interesting to see what the meeting, Congress’ measure to avoid any damage to party’s poll prospects, yields for it considering the CM post is what the two are eying and will leave no stone unturned in blighting each others chances of clinching the top seat.
